The Country Leadership Committee of EY Luxembourg has announced the admission of nine of its professionals to partnership, of which three professionals to the rank of Partner, and six professionals to the rank of Directeur Associé, as of 1 July 2016.

Laurent Capolaghi, Assurance, Private Equity

Laurent, 33, French, admitted as a Partner of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2005. He holds a master in finance with major in auditing and accountancy from the Ecole Supérieure Sciences Commerciales (ESSCA), Angers (France). Laurent has gained 12 years of experience in the financial services industry in Luxembourg, mainly in banking and private equity, with a particular focus on audits of Venture Capital, Mezzanine, Debt fund, Buy-out as well as in Impact Investing funds. He has also gained significant hands-on experience in the valuation of illiquid assets, the implementation of specific remunerations schemes, or the implementation of PC/VC middle- and back-offices at Luxembourg service providers.

Sylvie Leick, Tax, People Advisory Services

Sylvie, 39, French, admitted as a Partner of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2001. She holds a degree in law and in Luxembourg tax legislation. Sylvie gained over 15 years of experience in the field of Luxembourg and international individual taxation, social security as well as immigration serving both Luxembourg companies and international clients. She has extensive experience in the implementation of Management and employee remuneration and incentive packages and in the analysis of their tax treatment & reporting requirements.

Christian Schlesser, Tax, International Tax Services

Christian, 37, Luxembourgish, admitted as a Partner of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2003. He holds a Master degree in economics and management from the University of Nancy II (France) and a Master II degree in wealth management from INSEEC business school in Paris (France). Christian has gained 13 years of experience as an international tax advisor for multinational companies, both in the commercial and the industrial sectors. His focus lies on tax analysis of international corporate structures and reorganizations, cross-border financing as well as the structuring of financial transactions.

Adriana Boixados Prio, Transaction Tax, Private Equity

Adriana, 35, Spanish, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2007. She holds a degree in law and an LLM in tax advisory and management from ESADE business school in Barcelona (Spain). Adriana has 12 years of experience in advising multinational corporations in their transactions and restructurings. She mainly advises private equity funds on the tax aspects relevant to their investments, restructurings and divestments. In particular, she has extensive experience in designing and implementing tax efficient holding structures for US and European private equity funds.

Charles Dequaire, Assurance, Banking and Capital Markets

Charles, 36, French, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2003. He graduated from Skema Business School (formerly ESC Lille in France) with a focus on audit and holds a MCCA from the University of Lille (France). Charles has more than 12 years of experience in auditing banks as well as investment funds. He has also gained a significant experience in retail banking, private banking, corporate banking, investment banking, fund administration and transfer agent. He has a strong expertise in internal control for service organization, in the design and implementation of new organizations and procedures for several banks as well as in financial due diligence.

Julie Honoré, Assurance, Real Estate

Julie, 37, Belgian, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined the firm in 2001. She holds a Master degree in management from Université de Namur. Julie gained over 15 years of experience in serving real estate clients with a focus on financial statements of regulated and unregulated entities, on consolidation of complex real estate funds, on multi-location engagements including supervision of secondary audit teams, on complex inter-company and external financing structure and on investors reporting using INREV guidelines.

Fernando Longares, Tax, Transfer Pricing

Fernando, 40, Spanish, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2006. He holds a Master of Arts in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). He also has a degree in economics from the University of Zaragoza (Spain). Fernando has gained 13 years of professional experience and in-depth knowledge of real estate investment, asset management, venture capital and private equity business. He is also specialized in the benchmarking of intercompany financing transactions for multinational companies and in transfer pricing issues. 

Jesus Orozco, Assurance, Real Estate

Jesus, 38, Spanish, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined EY Luxembourg in 2003. He holds a double Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Malaga (Spain) and from the Fachhochschule Kiel (Germany). He also holds a Master in audit from the University of VIC in Barcelona (Spain). Jesus has 11 years of experience, specializing in the audit of both regulated and unregulated real estate structures, the consolidation of complex real estate groups, audit of complex inter-company and external financing structures, development and core funds and multi-national engagement management.

Vincent Remy, Tax, International Tax Services

Vincent, 38, French, admitted as a Directeur Associé of EY Luxembourg, joined EY in 2006. He holds a Master degree in business taxation from Skema Business School (formerly ESC Lille in France) and a post-graduate degree in Law from the University of Valenciennes. Vincent has gained substantial experience on a variety of international tax matters for major multinational clients and has specialized in international corporate tax consulting including mergers and acquisitions structuring, cross-border investment / financing and reorganizations. Vincent spent two and a half years in the Ernst & Young’s International Tax Desk program representing Luxembourg in the US (in Chicago and San Jose, California) advising on Luxembourg tax matters, principally in the context of US investments in Luxembourg by multinationals and private equity funds as well as US inbound investments.
