
On Thursday 12 June 2025, Luxembourg for Tourism (LFT) reported the publication of its 2024 activity report and the election of a new Management Board.
According to LFT, on Thursday 5 June 2025, its board members attended the LFT General Assembly at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, where they were given a presentation of its activity report for 2024 and elected a new Management Board. The meeting was chaired by Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism, Lex Delles, alongside member of the Directorate General for Tourism and Chairman of the Board, Jeanne Tonnar, and CEO of LFT, Dr Sebastian Reddeker.
Sebastian Reddeker presented LFT’s 2024 activity report to board members made up of sixteen different public and private organisations. The report noted that, in 2024, Luxembourg reached a significant milestone by surpassing pre-pandemic tourist arrival levels, recording a 6% increase in arrivals compared to 2023 and a 16% increase compared to 2019, while prioritising a sustainable development approach. According to the report, LFT was a key player in this success thanks to the relevance of its analyses, the soundness of its strategic recommendations and the effectiveness of its communication campaigns.
The LFT reported that Sebastian Reddeker also reminded the board of the current priorities and guiding principles from the LFT Strategy 2025, which focus on “strengthening and protecting the ‘Visit Luxembourg’ brand, expanding national and international networks, developing niches and prioritising specific thematic communities”. In response, Minister Delles said: “LFT is making a lasting contribution to the development of the Luxembourg tourism sector. This is demonstrated not only by the excellent figures in the annual report, but also by the high level of visitor satisfaction. The unique tourist attractions and diverse regions are important pillars for tourism and the economy in Luxembourg.”
LFT also reported the election of a new Management Board at the meeting, which included the election of a new president and four vice-presidents. Jean-Paul Nagel (ORT group) was elected as LFT’s new Chairman of the Board, Jeanne Tonnar, who had served as LFT's president since 2022, will remain as Vice-President and is joined by Maurice Bauer (Ville de Luxembourg), Peter Hengel (Youth Hostels Luxembourg) and Bérengère Beffort (Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce) as Vice-Presidents of the Board for the next three years.
The LFT Board is comprised of The Ministry of the Economy of Luxembourg, ORT Éislek, ORT Région Mullerthal PSL, ORT Région Moselle Luxembourgeoise, ORT du Sud, ORT du Centre et de l'Ouest, Chamber of Commerce, LUXAIR, CFL, Automobile Club of Luxembourg, HORESCA, CAMPRILUX, Luxembourg Youth Hostels, Association pour la Promotion du Tourisme Rural (APTR), Ville de Luxembourg (VdL) and the Luxembourg City Tourist Office.
