On Tuesday 2 June 2026, Luxair issued an update on the national strike in Portugal which is set to impact aviation and ground handling services on Wednesday 3 June.
Luxair said it continues to closely monitor the situation and the strike is expected to impact Luxair’s flight operations to and from Portugal.
Given the broad scope of the strike and the still evolving operational situation in Portugal, Luxair said it continues to assess the status with its operational partners and has provided the following update regarding its flights to and from Portugal on 3 June 2026:
Lisbon and Porto
The following flights, initially scheduled for Wednesday 3 June 2026, will instead be operated on Thursday 4 June 2026:
• LG 3751 Luxembourg – Lisbon
• LG 3752 Lisbon – Luxembourg
• LG 3769 Luxembourg – Porto
• LG 3770 Porto – Luxembourg
Affected Luxair customers are being informed directly and are being rebooked accordingly.
Faro and Funchal
Luxair flights to and from Faro and Funchal are currently scheduled to operate on Wednesday 3 June 2026:
• LG 785 Luxembourg – Faro
• LG 786 Faro – Luxembourg
• LG 771 Luxembourg – Funchal
• LG 772 Funchal – Luxembourg
Luxair stressed that delays and longer waiting times at the affected airports remain possible. Should the situation change, affected passengers will be informed directly through the contact details provided in their booking. Passengers are strongly advised to arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure and to check the latest information regarding their flight before travelling to the airport.
Luxair emphasised that it is doing everything possible to minimise the impact on its customers and to maintain the smoothest service possible in a situation that remains beyond the airline’s control and apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked passengers for their understanding.
