Nature Conservation Syndicate SICONA has announced that "SICONA Day 2026" will take place on Saturday 6 June 2026 from 09:30 to 16:30 at the Atelier technique SICONA in Kehlen.

According to SICONA, the event will focus on practical nature conservation and will feature activities throughout the day in and around the workshop. The programme is designed for families and visitors of all ages and will include demonstrations, guided activities and opportunities to learn more about biodiversity, environmental protection and regional food production.

Programme:

  • 09:30-16:00 (Luxembourgish) – Children's Nature Rally: Experiencing Nature with SICONA Kids;
  • 09:30-12:30 (Luxembourgish) / 12:30-15:30 (French) – Visit to a Local Farm;
  • 10:15-12:00 (Luxembourgish) / 13:00-14:30 (Luxembourgish) – Guided Walk around the Wanderschéif Nature Reserve;
  • 09:45-11:30 (Luxembourgish) / 13:30-15:15 (English) – Planting, Planting Again: Biodiversity in Fields and Along Roadsides;
  • 10:30-12:30 (French) / 13:30-15:30 (Luxembourgish) – Butterflies, Bees and Dragonflies: Observation and Identification Workshop;
  • 09:45-11:45 (English) / 13:30-15:30 (Luxembourgish) – Wetland Habitats for Amphibians;
  • 10:00-12:30 (Luxembourgish) / 13:30-16:00 (Luxembourgish) – Wild Plant Walk: Edible Herbs Tour.

Throughout the day, visitors will also be able to discover species protection projects in Dudelange, SICONA Kids activities, wild plant production, the Naturpakt initiative, a campfire area and a food corner featuring regional products.
