On Thursday 3 October 2024, Marriott International announced its entry into the Luxembourg market with the opening of two hotels: Moxy Luxembourg Airport and the upcoming Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa, expected to open by the end of the year.
Moxy Luxembourg Airport, located in the Skypark Business Center, features 129 rooms with modern amenities, including a walk-in shower and views of the airport. The hotel offers vibrant communal spaces and social activities, including a check-in experience with a complimentary cocktail or mocktail at Bar Moxy and a terrace with a pétanque court. The hotel is directly connected to the airport terminal via an indoor walkway.
The Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa, scheduled to open in late 2024, is situated across from Luxembourg City's main train station. The hotel will include 153 rooms and suites, a gym, meeting rooms and a revival of the historic Brasserie Alfa. The design pays tribute to the building’s art deco history since the 1930s, with original works by Luxembourg artist Julien Lefèvre.
Alexandra Goguet, Marriott International Vice President of Development for France and Benelux commented: “With Marriott International’s entry into Luxembourg, we are delighted to offer our Marriott Bonvoy members and travellers a new market with exciting travel experiences. Luxembourg has much to offer and is the ideal location for the opening of these two hotels, each located in prime locations. We look forward to welcoming our first guests and are excited about the potential for more hotels to open in Luxembourg in the future.”
