On Friday 18 October 2024, the Avant-Premier of the new children's animated feature film Angelo in the Mysterious Forest took place at Kinepolis-Kirchberg.

A Luxembourg-France co-production involving ZEILT productions (LU), Je Suis Bien Content (FR) and Gao Shan Pictures (FR); producer Laurent Witz revealed in a post-screening Q&A that the total cost of the project was around €9.5 million and that it took around six years to complete, with more than half of that time spent financing the project.

The post-screening also included a lengthy "behind the scenes" Making Of presentation which addressed everything from the initial drawings right the way through to the animation, colour and music which was provided by Gast Waltzing and the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.

The film will go on general release in Luxembourg on 13 November, with Kinepolis screening both French-language and Luxembourgish-language versions, and CiNextDoor screening the Luxembourgish-language version (no English-language version or subtitles are available).
