On Monday 25 August 2025, the Maison du Grand-Duc released the official portraits of the future Grand Duke and the future Grand Ducal Couple.
In advance of the accession to the throne which will occur on Friday 3 October 2025, the official photographs were taken by Luxembourgish photographers Kary Barthelmey and Christian Aschman.
They are traditionally displayed in public buildings and businesses and are distributed to all state institutions by The Prints and Office Supplies Division of the State Information Technology Centre (CTIE).
According to the Maison du Grand-Duc, a portrait of the future Grand Duke in military uniform will be published after his appointment to the rank of general.
On Tuesday 1 July 2025, the Maison du Grand-Duc presented the official monogram of the future Grand Duke, which will be used formally from Friday 3 October 2025.
