On Monday 2 June 2025, Film Fund Luxembourg reported that the Luxembourgish immersive work Oto's Planet has received a prize at the Canadian Screen Awards.
Oto's Planet, created by Gwenael François and co-produced by Julien Becker (Skill Lab, Luxembourg), Nicolas S. Roy (DPT, Montreal, Quebec) and Voyelle Acker (Small Creative, France), won the award for Best Immersive Experience at the Canadian Screen Awards, organised by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, as part of an evening dedicated to the cinematic arts, with the support of Telefilm Canada and Cineplex.
According to Film Fund Luxembourg, this latest distinction "caps an exceptional week" for Oto's Planet, which has already won two major awards at the Prix NUMIX in Montreal, including the coveted Grand Prix a few days ago. "This remarkable journey confirms the artistic and technological impact of this extraordinary work, acclaimed both nationally and internationally," Film Fund Luxembourg noted in its statement, adding that "Oto's Planet thus continues its international accolade tour, cementing its place among the most significant immersive works of the year."
