German Moto3 star, Philipp Öttl, was presented with the Dunlop #ForeverForward Trophy for the top overtaker from the 2015 FIM Trophy for the top overtaker from the 2015 FIM Moto2TM and Moto3TM World Championships.

The #ForeverGorward league was launched last year by Dunlop as a means of celebrating the intuition, commitment and determination of the World's best young riders in these incredibly competitive championships.

During the 2015 season, Öttl gained 132 positions during the 18 races, at one point in Indianapolis managing to make rapid progress from 34th to 3rd, leading the Schedl GP KTM rider to describe it as his most memorable race of the year.

"At Indianapolis, I crashed in qualifying and had to start from the back," said Öttl of his favourite fightback of the year. "We might the right tyre choice and I was able to finish third - making 31 positions in one race." Continuing by commenting on overtaking in Moto3, he elaborated: "You have to be so precise. One mistake, and you lose many places so precision is important."

The #ForeverForward league will continue into 2016, according to plans announced by Dunlop. At the end of the year, a rider from the Moto2 or Moto3 championship who has made the most progress over the course of the race will be crowned as the second Dunlop #ForeverForward trophy winner.

"We are delighted to recognise Philipp's fightbacks with the inaugural Dunlop #ForeverForward trophy," commented James Baily, Director, Motorsport PR and Communications. "There are very few other championships in the world that have so much overtaking and such intense battles. The #ForeverForward league brings another talking point to these fantastic championships and helps showcase their deep level of talent and racecraft."
