Luxembourg’s National Museum of Natural History (natur musée) has announced that the country’s only taxidermist, Guillaume Becker, won six prizes at the 14th European Taxidermy Championships that were held from 17 to 23 February 2025 in Salzburg, Austria.

This event brought together 253 participants, including 153 competitors from 34 nations, with a total of 351 entries.

Guillaume Becker presented several pieces and won in the following categories:

- second prize (red ribbon) for a bare-faced go-away-bird (“touraco masque”) in the “Professional Medium Bird Division” category;

- two second prizes (red ribbons) for a Himalayan snowcock in the “Professional Large Bird” category;

- third prize for each of three monals (lophophorus pheasants) in the “Professional Large Birds” category.

In a statement, Luxembourg’s National Museum of Natural History expressed its pride in Guillaume Becker's achievements on the international stage and congratulated him.
