The American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) is organising an evening seminar on Tuesday 22 September 2015 from 18:30 at the Alvisse Parc Hotel (Luxembourg-Dommeldange) on the topic of "Expats’ rights to social security benefits in Luxembourg"
At European level, regulations have been adopted to coordinate the social security schemes of the various EU Member States and ensure adequate social protection, thereby facilitating free movements of workers across the EU. For non-EU citizens, bilateral agreements have been concluded between Luxembourg and some countries, notably the US.
- “Am I, as a US expat in Luxembourg, entitled to a pension for the years I worked in Luxembourg?”
- “I am on a temporary secondment in Luxembourg. What are my rights to Luxembourg family benefits?”
- “Am I entitled to the reimbursement of health care costs if I wish to return to my home country to have surgery?”
These are some of the practical questions our speakers will answer in the course of this event.
Speakers: Marielle Stevenot, Employment Law Partner at MNKS; Alexandre Pirotte, Manager at Fragomen.
Cost: Free to members; non-members €36. To register, see www.amcham.lu.
