On Wednesday 9 September 2026, Luxembourg’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture reported on the official launch of the fourth Luxembourg “BIO-Woch” campaign, under the title “Dem BIO-Bauer säi ganze Stolz” (“The pride of the organic farmer”).

Organised by the Association for Organic Agriculture Luxembourg (Vereenegung fir Biolandwirtschaft Lëtzebuerg ASBL) in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, the launch took place at Biohaff Witry in Dippach, in the presence of Luxembourg Minister of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture, Martine Hansen.

The awareness campaign will engage the public through numerous events taking place across the country from Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 September 2026. This year, eight organic ambassadors — including Greg Colling (Karelshaff), Mathieu and Nicolas Schmit-Fohl (Maison viticole Schmit-Fohl), Pol Fischbach (Biohaff Fischbach), Marc Thiel (organic beekeeper), Steve Lentz (chef, EHTL), Kirsty von Boch (food journalist), John Schlammes (yoga and Ayurveda expert) and Aurélie Wagener (influencer) — will embody the link between producers and consumers. Cooking classes, workshops, conferences, tastings and open days at organic producers’ farms are expected to attract a particularly enthusiastic turnout.

As 2026 is the International Year of Women in Agriculture, BIO-Woch has made a particular effort to showcase the country’s female organic farmers, whose commitment will be highlighted throughout the week.

At the launch, Minister Martine Hansen said: “Behind every organic product are committed and passionate producers. The ‘BIO-Woch’ makes their pride and work visible.”

“We want to produce healthy food, take responsibility for our animals and land, and show people what organic farming really means,” said Pierre Witry.

“Bio vun Heiheem” – the good is closer than you think

In twelve municipalities and at certain supermarkets (Cactus, Naturata, Alavita, Bioplanet and Auchan), directional signs will indicate the distances in kilometres and point the way to the nearest organic farms. A QR code will provide further information about each organic producer.
