On the evening of Monday 8 June 2026, the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM) hosted a Networking Cocktail Reception at the premises of EY in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The event welcomed around 75 guests, including the Chinese Ambassador to Luxembourg, Hua Ning and the Ambassador of Japan to Luxembourg, Mamoru Nomura.
The evening began with a reception and welcome drinks for the guests. The official programme then started with a welcoming speech delivered by AMCHAM Chairman Paul Schoenenberg, who thanked those in attendance for their support and the event’s sponsors EY and the Harvard Club of Luxembourg for helping to arrange the event.
He then introduced the evening’s entertainment, the Harvard University Choral Group, “Din & Tonics”, who were visiting Luxembourg for a third time in fifteen years as AMCHAM guests.
The a cappella group is currently undertaking a world tour which has so far seen them visit and perform in the United Kingdom. Following their trip to Luxembourg, they will undertake performances in locations such as Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan over the coming weeks.
Over two half-hour sets, the musical group enthusiastically performed a series of standards from the likes of Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker before providing an exceptional medley of famous film themes from composer John Williams, which included music from the films Jaws, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. The group originally performed this set for the composer when he received an honorary degree of Doctor of Music from Harvard University in 2017.
Following the musical entertainment, the evening concluded with a networking session which included food and refreshments supplied by the hosts.
