The Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the Luxembourg trade union OGBL have signed the research centre's first collective labour agreement.

Following long negotiations, the OGBL and LISER have signed an agreement that is in line with the strategic orientations set by the latter's Board of Directors. The agreement focuses on skills and career development in LISER's human resources policy, for instance institute's commitment to devoting 2% of its payroll to training and career development.

The collective labour agreement signed for a period of three years thus aims to provide a stable, coherent framework adapted to LISER's development needs and ambitions. For instance, a steady level of salary increases is set to enhance both experience and individual performance, including skills acquisition, as of January 2020. The agreement also provides that employees whose salaries have reached the maximum of the range can see their performance and their efforts valued through individual performance bonuses.

In addition to maintaining the end-of-year bonus, the collective labour agreement introduces a new bonus for collective performance distributed in a non-hierarchical and egalitarian manner according to actual work volume. The agreement also marks the entry into force of the distribution of meal vouchers to LISER employees.
