Lux-Airport, the operating company of Luxembourg Airport, has announced upcoming works on the runway.
Work is planned on the runway at Luxembourg Airport in Findel before winter, confirmed lux-Airport in a statement on Monday 7 October 2024.
These works include partial renewal of the top asphalt layer of the runway. As reported by lux-Airport, this is a preventative safety measure that is being taken as a result of the damage to the asphalt surface on 28 August 2024.
The works will take approximately three weeks starting from the beginning of November 2024 and will be carried out exclusively at night, without disrupting scheduled air traffic.
