The Grand Ducal Police have reported a number of driving and vehicle-related violations across Luxembourg in the past 24 hours.

According to the police, on the evening of Tuesday 19 August 2025, it was reported that individuals were pushing a vehicle between Hivange and Fingig and that the driver might be under the influence of alcohol. A police patrol attended the scene and located the driver. Checks revealed that the driver did not hold a driving licence. Furthermore, he refused alcohol and drug tests. The police issued a provisional driving ban and a report was filed.

On the night of 20 August 2025, a police patrol noticed a vehicle travelling at high speed from Belvaux towards the A4 on the Raemerich roundabout in Esch-sur-Alzette. The driver was subsequently stopped and subjected to a check. During the inspection, officers observed pepper sprays inside the vehicle. A report was filed accordingly. In addition, the driver was issued a fine for excessive speed.

Also, on the night of 20 August 2025, it was reported that a driver had struck the letterbox of a house with his vehicle on Rue de Grass in Clemency. A police patrol located the driver shortly afterwards. During the check, officers noted signs of alcohol consumption. A subsequent alcohol test returned a positive result and a provisional driving ban was issued. In addition, the driver was uncooperative with the officers and it was discovered that the vehicle was not properly registered. The vehicle was subsequently immobilised.
