On Wednesday evening, The Network raised €984.62 (updated from the earlier figure of €800) for the Luxembourg charity Femmes en Détresse at its annual charity event, an Art Auction, held at the Hotel Le Royal in Luxembourg city.
A total of 16 work of arts sold via a silent auction, with the proceeds going to Femmes en Détresse which provides women and their children, and girls effective protection against violence through the development and management of homes for women and girls in distress, information and consultation centres.
The artists donating art were Ainsley Francis, Mea Bateman, Jugera Ibrahimi, Diamany Nabhan-Ngandu and Miranda van den Heuvel. The exhibition was inaugurated by the distinguished Luxembourgish artist Deny Martine.
