The Maison du Grand-Duc has announced that Pope Francis will be paying an official visit to Luxembourg on Thursday 26 September 2024.
The statement, issued on Monday 20 May 2024, confirmed that Pope Francis would visit the Grand Duchy this autumn at the invitation of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.
The Maison du Grand-Duc added that the detailed programme of the visit would be made public "as soon as possible".
The visit is set to take place less than a fortnight after Pope Francis' twelve-day trip to Asia, and forms part of his Apostolic Journey to Luxembourg and Belgium (26-29 September), as announced by the Holy See Press Office on Monday.
