Students at St George’s International School in Luxembourg, with the support of the School staff and their families, have achieved an excellent set of A-Levels, A/S Levels and IGCSE results this year, as confirmed by the school; many students surpassed expectations and should be justly proud of their hard work, effort and commitment.
A-Level Results
- 100% Pass rate
- 40% of examinations graded A*/A (UK average 25.9%)
- 95% of examinations graded A* to C
A-level students in Year 13 saw a significant improvement in their subject results with an overall 100% pass rate from 62 examination entries. 40% of examination papers were graded A* or A; and 95% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. For comparison, the percentage of St George’s A level students in Year 13 who achieved a grade A* or A in these examinations was 14% higher than the UK average. One of our students achieved A* grades in all the subjects she studied.
A/S Level Results
- 92% Pass rate
- 50% of examinations graded A/B
- 68% of examinations graded A to C
With 123 examination entries overall A/S level students in Year 12 achieved a 92% pass rate, 50% of examination papers were graded at A or B and 68% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. At A/S there is no A* grade available. Three of the school's students achieved A grades in all their subjects taken.
IGCSE Results
- 99% Pass rate
- 44% of examinations graded A*/A
- 88% of students achieved 5 A* to C grades
- 85% of examinations graded A* to C
242 individual IGCSE examinations were taken in total. The vast majority of students in Year 11 took 10 subjects each with an overall pass rate of 99%, whilst 44% of all examination papers were graded at A* or A. One of the school's students achieved an impressive 8 A* grades and 88% achieved at least 5 grades from A* to C. 85% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. These students will now progress on to the next school year (Year 12) where they will study their chosen A/S level subjects.

St George’s graduates will be taking up places at the University of Edinburgh, the University of York, Kings College London, Charles University Prague, Maastricht University, LIPA, VELP, the University of Kent, the University of Southampton, Bournemouth University, the University of Surrey, Swansea University, Trinity College Dublin and Yon Sei University (Korea).
