The European Commission is calling on the Luxembourg population to take part in a study aiming to comprehensively assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current European industrial sector in Cybersecurity.

The launch of the study follows the call of Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker for European growth, jobs and investment through the establishment of an 'Ambitious Digital Single Market Practice'. This would seek to create a vibrant digital economy and society by complementing the telecommunications regulatory environment, modernising copyright rules, simplifying rules for consumers, making online and digital purchases, enhancing cybersecurity and mainstreaming digitalisation.

As a step towards this, the Commision has created what it describes as an independent and unbiased industrial Cybersecurity study, which will examine both demand and supply perspectives through the feedback provided. The study takes ten minutes to complete, and participants have the option of selecting either 'Providers' or 'Consumers' as the description that best suits their situation.
