PwC Luxembourg announced Monday its acquisition of the Outbox group, a European specialist in coaching clients in Cloud technologies.
With this new alliance, PwC expressed its hope that it would be able to strengthen its ability to support companies in their digital transformation in all activity sectors. Digital is now a strategic matter for all companies and to ensure sustainability, leaders have recognised the need to rethink their business model and make the digital shift.
"Digital, placed at the heart of business strategy, is a tremendous accelerator of growth," commented Gilles Vanderweyen, partner at PwC Luxembourg and ICT Leader. "But to be in line with the expectations of users, it is not so much a question of a business viewing digital as an option but rather transforming its entire organisation, of its internal processes in its services and products."
In addition, globalised social media, mobile and digital technology and the Cloud have modified customer relations. Regardless of the activity sector in which the business is evolving, digital has turned the client experience on its head through a wide range of communication tools, such as the web, mobile and connected devices.
"We have entered into an economy where innovation and experimentation are permanent," continued Vanderweyen. "The user is at the centre of the system, it is them who has the power now by inventing the processes of tomorrow."
"The merger with Outbox, a European group recognised for its excellence in Cloud technology, enables PwC to strengthen its offer of innovative solutions for its customers in Europe and the Grand Duchy," added Thierry Kremser, Partner and Technology Leader at PwC Luxembourg.
This most recent acquisition followed PwC's merger in October 2015 with Nealite, a French specialist in service design and customer experience. The Nealite teams will there help rethink the digital relationship with customers, whilst Outbox will provide the skills to implement digital technologies, particularly with the Cloud, and PwC can contribute its experience in piloting digital transformation.
