The Grand Ducal Police have announced that during the month of August 2015, it will be conducting a campaign to promote road safety in Luxembourg through reduced speeds.

Due to the current increased presence of foreign visitors and tourists on Luxembourg's roads, the Police will be targeting those driving at an excessive speed deemed inappropriate for such people density.

The Police also reported that they will be organising monitoring stations and strengthening their presence at rest stops. In addition, they will be carrying out continued surveillance at pedestrian crossings and tourist centres, which will be busy at peak times.

This campaign, which forms part of the road safety strategy of the Grand Ducal Police, will take place from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 August 2015.
