
On Friday evening, Luxembourg lost 0-1 at home to Sweden in European Qualifying Group A of the FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
Going into the game, Luxembourg had lost their previous five games, while Sweden had wone one, drawn two and lost two.
The only goal of the game came in the 58th minute from a corner by Marcus Berg, when Sweden's Mikael Lustig right-footed shot from the centre of the box found the bottom right corner of the Luxembourg goal.
The game saw a total of eight yellow cards, four for each side, with Luxembourg's 25 year-old defender from F91 Dudelange, Kevin Malget, shown red after a second bookable offence with just 8 minutes left on the clock.
Luxembourg sit bottom of Group A, with their next qualification game awayy to Belarus on Monday evening.
