On Thursday 29 October 2026, wine distributer Caves Wengler announced that it had officially opened its first permanent location in Luxembourg City, nearly 130 years after the company was founded in Rosport.
The new location opened on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 14 Rue Notre Dame in Luxembourg-Ville, following the appointment of Charline Wengler as CEO. It includes a bottle shop and a space for Wengler Education courses, masterclasses, dinners and tastings.
According to the company, every detail of the new space reflects the Wengler family's different generations. At the entrance, aluminium, concrete, dark wood and custom-made furniture by Case Studios reflect the contemporary, almost brutalist taste of Charline Wengler and the younger generation shaping the company.
“Behind a green curtain, the materials become warmer and more personal, with pieces from the family home in Rosport. The further you walk in, the closer you get to Rosport,” further explained the company. Downstairs, the basement features orange throughout, a colour introduced by Gérard Wengler when he took over the company.
Close friends of the family are also represented in the space, which features three paintings by artist Monique Becker and a restored vintage table football belonging to her husband, Chris Vannieuwenhuyse.
"Opening in the city meant bringing Rosport with us," said Charline Wengler. He continued: "The entrance shows where my generation wants to take the house. Further in, you find our heritage, family and friends and my father's orange. We chose each piece for a reason, balancing heritage and the future of the company."
The front room serves as a bottle shop featuring a selection of Wengler products, while the full range remains available in Rosport. Every Friday, customers can sample wines selected by staff member Jérémy or purchase a bottle to enjoy on site.
The company emphasised that Rosport remains its home, while the new location establishes a permanent presence in Luxembourg's capital.
The new location is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 10:30 to 19:00, on Fridays from 11:30 to 20:00 and on Saturdays from 09:30 to 18:00. It is closed on Mondays, Sundays and public holidays.
