Cactus has reaffirmed its commitment to Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg (JEL), with the mission of perpetuating and revitalise entrepreneurial spirit in Luxembourgish education by signing as a Gold partner for a three-year period.

On the occasion of the Mini-Enterprises day at the Belle Etoile shopping centre, a flagship event of the long-standing collaboration between the non-profit organisation Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg and Cactus, Marc Hoffmann, Marketing Director at Cactus, reaffirmed the support of the Luxembourgish brand as a Gold partner. A contract for a period of three years has been signed by both parties.

Marc Hoffmann, who is also a member of the board of JEL, explained: "We are committed to contributing to the economic development of the Greater Region in general and to support innovation and local start-ups in particular. As an innovative entrepreneur, Cactus firmly believes that it is the responsibility of today's entrepreneurs to support the entrepreneurs of tomorrow!"

While the government multiplies the initiatives going in the direction of a "start-up nation", concept born in 2014, the Luxembourgish brand hopes to help cultivate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among young high school students in the Grand Duchy. Thus the brand has favoured partnerships with young local talents, whether for projects in the field of food or that of technologies.

JEL is the Luxembourg branch of the Junior Achievement network, which is the largest non-profit organisation in the world offering entrepreneurial education programmes. During the academic year 2017-2018, some 11,500 young people from primary, secondary and higher education participated in the various JEL programmes.
