On Sunday 21 April 2024, on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day, the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) has announced it will host the first design market set to take place at the Design Hub, located at the heart of the Luxembourg-Gare district, from 10:00 to 18:00.

Beyond its function as a workspace reserved for professionals in the creative industries, the Design Hub will turn into a friendly meeting place dedicated to creation and design, with the help of its occupant designers.

Applications are open until 24 March 2024 inclusive.

From now on, any person operating in the design ecosystem in Luxembourg and active in the field of product design, accessories, fashion items or illustration and visual communication can submit their application free of charge via the online form available on designhub.vdl.lu. In order to offer the public a rich and diversified offer, VdL solicits the participation of professionals and also of students pursuing higher education in the field of design. Each participant will have a stand (3 x 3 metres) at their disposal to exhibit and offer their creations or services for sale.

Inaugurated in October 2023, the Design Hub of the City of Luxembourg offers creative entrepreneurs a temporary workspace (maximum duration of eleven months) at low rent, where they can carry out their activity in an environment conducive to creation, co-working and sharing experiences. By bringing together different creative professions under one roof, the new creative hub also aims to be a unique networking opportunity which can lead to the creation of lasting synergies and collaborations that may contribute in the long term to strengthening the cultural and economic attractiveness of the capital. Thanks to its central location in the Luxembourg-Gare district, the site lends itself to the organisation of workshops and events open to visitors and residents of the capital.
