On Tuesday 9 December 2025, Banque Raiffeisen announced that as it approaches its 100th anniversary, it is modernising its digital offerings with the launch of Apple Pay, a new website and a redesigned version of its R-Net online banking interface.

According to the Luxembourg bank, these developments form part of the Bank’s repositioning strategy, which aims to provide a modern, high-performance and user-friendly experience for all customer profiles.

The integration of Apple Pay was officially launched on Tuesday 9 December and Banque Raiffeisen highlighted that the mobile payment service that enables users to pay in stores, in apps and online using their Apple devices marked its determination to enhance its customers’ digital experience and adapt to their evolving consumption habits.

“With the launch of Apple Pay, we are taking another important step in modernising our digital services. Our objective is clear: to offer our customers simple, fast and secure solutions while remaining true to our DNA as a cooperative bank close to its clients,” emphasised Laurent Zahles, Chairman of the Management Board of Banque Raiffeisen.

On Tuesday 28 October, Banque Raiffeisen launched its new website, integrating an improved version of its R-Net online banking service featuring a redesigned interface. Since Thursday 9 October, the Bank has also been offering instant payments, in line with new regulatory requirements. The bank said that thanks to these improvements, customers can manage their transactions more quickly, intuitively and securely, whether they are checking their account, making transfers or managing their cards.

As part of its digital strategy, Banque Raiffeisen has also initiated a comprehensive repositioning of its Online Agency, which it said will soon evolve into a fully-fledged Customer Care service. The goal is to make the remote banking experience more fluid and intuitive for all types of customers. In parallel, the bank is working with nCino to digitise all processes related to credit applications for private clients. Starting in 2027, this digitisation will accelerate application processing and provide customers with a “seamless digital platform” that reduces paper use and simplifies each step. According to Banque Raiffeisen, with this optimised system customers will benefit from faster response times and greater transparency regarding the progress of their applications.

Moreover, while Banque Raiffeisen noted that the development of digital services is an important step, it remained faithful to its vocation as a cooperative bank that is physically close to its customers and its network of local branches across Luxembourg remained the bank’s essential pillar, allowing each customer to contact their dedicated advisor directly for personalised and responsive support.

“Banque Raiffeisen does everything possible to ensure that each of its customers benefits from a personalised, secure and efficient banking experience. This commitment to modernising the entire digital experience is part of our overall strategy to combine innovation with service quality, in order to meet the needs of an increasingly connected customer base while preserving the human dimension that has been at the heart of our Bank’s identity for nearly 100 years,” adds Laurent Zahles, Chairman of the Management Board of Banque Raiffeisen.
