On the occasion of its centenary, Banque Raiffeisen held a celebration on Thursday 12 February 2026, at Rockhal in Esch-Belval.
The event, attended by Grand Duke Guillaume, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden and President of the Chamber of Deputies Claude Wiseler, was described by Banque Raiffeisen as an opportunity to look back on a century of history, but above all to project the bank into the future.
Ahead of the event, Guy Hoffmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Raiffeisen, said: “We have not only financed projects. We have supported people’s lives, families and businesses, sometimes over several generations. Our greatest asset has never been money, but the trust of our customers.”
On the subject of the bank’s collaborations, reputation and visibility, Laurent Zahles, Chairman of the Management Board of Banque Raiffeisen, remarked: “Proximity is not an abstract concept. It is the ability to listen, understand and to know our customers by name, not by sector.”
Banque Raiffeisen noted that while Thursday 12 February 2026 officially marks the 100th anniversary of the bank, it sees this period as a new beginning and, faithful to its values, it endeavours to differentiate itself further, by enhancing the customer experience, making it more intuitive, smoother and more personalised.
The bank reported that over €10 million will be invested in the coming years to modernise and digitise the credit process, the bank’s core activity, with the aim of significantly improving the customer journey and time-to-offer, while remaining at the highest level of market standards, and also revealed a new slogan: All about you.
“This is not a slogan, but a commitment to our customers and our staff. It expresses what we have always been and what we choose to be in the future,” says Laurent Zahles.
Guy Hoffmann concluded: “This centenary is not an end, but a milestone. Today, tomorrow and for generations to come.”
