The Grand Ducal Police have launched an appeal for information after an abandoned Boxer dog was found in Lasauvage on Tuesday evening.
A young woman found the dog, who has not yet been identified as he was not wearing a collar and has reportedly not been microchipped. The dog was described as being very trusting, despite its body being covered in older and recent injuries, including a fresh deep wound on the front left law, which indicates signs of abuse or a fight. The dog was also emaciated, and responded with fear to loud noises.
The dog has been taken to a veterinarian, and the police are now calling on the Luxembourg public for information related to the animal. Individuals who have seen the dog before or might be able to help identify him are asked to contact the Differdange police at 2445-3501 or 2445-3201.
