On Monday, Xavier Bettel, Luxembourg's Prime Minister and Minister of State, presented Liz Mohn - vice chairman of the board of the Bertelsmann Foundation - with the Commander's Cross of the Order of the Oak Crown in Berlin, Germany.
Bertelsmann can be found in around 50 countries worldwide, with its core businesses of media and services. While it is strengthening its presence in regions such as China and Brazil it is strong in Western Europe and the United States. Bertelsmann’s corporate divisions include RTL Group (television), Penguin Random House (books), Gruner + Jahr (magazines), Arvato (services) and the Bertelsmann Printing Group (print).
"Today we honour a citizen of the world, who has continued with great responsibility in the global Bertelsmann Group tradition, but has also given this company new life with their own experience and their vision" said Xavier Bettel at the ceremony. He also praised her tireless efforts for integration, tolerance, citizenship, human rights and respect for others.
