Canopée Produktion asbl has announced a new edition of its open-air festival, "Rendez-vous au Jardin / Rendez-vous am Gaart", taking place on Saturday 12 September 2026 at its garden in Luxembourg-Pfaffenthal.

The festival will run from 11:00 to 20:30 and feature performances, music, creative workshops, biodiversity-related activities, poetry and community encounters.

One of the highlights of this edition will be a performance by international card magician Djenane Belkheïr, known professionally as Bébel. He has practised magic since childhood and developed an approach to card manipulation based on close-up performance and direct interaction with audiences.

Bébel has appeared at international magic events including the Blackpool Magic Convention in the United Kingdom and is due to perform at the Magic Castle in Los Angeles in October 2026. His Luxembourg performance will take place from 14:00 to 15:00.

The following day, Sunday 13 September, Bébel will lead a "Magic Lecture – Masterclass" for experienced participants at Sang a Klang in Luxembourg-Pfaffenthal, from 10:00 to 16:00, with a break from 12:00 to 14:00. Participation costs €60 and is limited to ten people. Registration is available via the Canopée website

Programme highlights on Saturday include:

- Parade and batucada workshop with One People asbl, from 11:00 to 13:00. The parade will start at the Youth Hostel, 2 Rue du Fort Olisy in Luxembourg.

- Talk by Véronique: "The Great Weyer", from 13:00 to 14:00. The talk will focus on Luxembourgish magician The Great Weyer, a contemporary of Harry Houdini.

- Elderberry crafts with Kraiderhex Viola, from 13:00 to 17:00. An open workshop for creating bracelets and necklaces.

- Composting workshop with Manuel, from 13:00 to 14:00. The workshop will cover different types of compost for different soils.

- "Poémance" with Joël, from 13:00 to 15:30. Visitors can take part in short poetry sessions lasting approximately two to three minutes.

- Card magic show with Bébel, from 14:00 to 15:00.

- "Sirène" with Ane and Charlene, from 15:00 to 16:00. A reading workshop for children aged five to nine.

- Pottery workshop with Pernilla, from 15:00 to 17:00. Participants will create pieces featuring floral motifs inspired by the garden.

- Natural dyeing workshop with Sophie, from 15:00 to 17:00. The workshop will focus on adding colour to clothes using natural dyeing techniques.

- Juggling workshop with Maxime, from 16:00 to 17:00. Participants will also be able to make their own personalised juggling balls.

- Theatre: "Luxembourg Legends… More or Less" with François and his Merry Band, from 17:00 to 18:00. The performance will focus on Luxembourgish folklore.

- Afterparty with DJ Ghost, from 18:30 to 20:30. The programme will conclude with music featuring rhythms "from here and further afield".

Other activities will include a plant market, snacks and drinks and garden tours.

The event is organised in partnership with HörgeschädigtenBeratung SmH. Visitors will also have the opportunity to order drinks and snacks using sign language.

Admission to the festival is free of charge, although some workshops and activities require registration and a participation fee. The Kulturpass is accepted.
