In view of sport's importance in promoting Luxembourg abroad, the Luxembourg Basketball Federation (FLBB) has been selected as a partner of choice in the implementation of the Nation Branding strategy, for which the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Francine Closener, and the President of the FLBB, Henri Pleimling, signed a partnership agreement today.

Under this agreement, the signature "Luxembourg - Let's make it happen" brand will now be reproduced on official outfits and jerseys of players and staff at international competitions, as well as on FLBB leisure clothing and gadgets.

The Secretary of State for Economy, Francine Closener, specified at the signing of the partnership agreement that, "by wearing the colors of the Luxembourg Signature at the time of their participation in international competitions, the players and the whole team of the FLBB will contribute as sports ambassadors to the notoriety of the Grand Duchy."

FLBB President Henri Pleimling welcomed the move.

"It is an honor for the FLBB and its representatives, both players and officials, to brandish the new signature and thus contribute to the reputation of our country and propagation of its values. Sport in general - and basketball in particular - carry the same values, dynamism, reliability and openness."
