Details: The Metropolitan Opera in New York will have 10 live broadcasts in high definition for its 2013-14 season.
With the huge success of previous seasons, Utopia SA will broadcast for the sixth consecutive year, live and in high definition, the opera season at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. From their cinema seats in Luxembourg, spectators can, through the magic of satellite technology, listen, live and feel the greatest operas.
The 2013-2014 season starts on Saturday, 5 October 2013 with "Eugene Onegin" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, followed over the next six months by 10 outstanding operas.
For this sixth season, Utopia has announces a collaboration with Lucie B Traiteur which becomes the official partner of the event and will service the cocktail reception offered before each retransmission of the New York Metropolitan Opera.

Borodin's defining Russian epic, famous for its Polovtsian Dances, comes to the Met for the first time in nearly 100 years. Dmitri Tcherniakov's new production is a brilliant psychological journey through the mind of its conflicted hero, with the founding of the Russian nation as the backdrop. Star bass-baritone Ildar Abdrazakov takes on the monumental title role, with Gianandrea Noseda conducting.
