On Tuesday 26 May 2026, the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) presented positive tourism figures for 2025 during its general assembly, reporting 257,550 visitors to the capital’s historical sites and more than 1.3 million visitors to the LCTO website.
According to the LCTO, the organisation continued to develop its “resonance tourism” strategy, aimed at encouraging visitors to experience Luxembourg City “like a local” through authentic and sustainable experiences.
In 2025, a total of 207,783 visitors visited the Bock Casemates, while 49,767 visited the Pétrusse Casemates. The Bock Casemates also welcomed their 200,000th visitor during the year.
Guided tours of the Grand Ducal Palace once again attracted strong interest, with 439 tours organised for 9,655 participants and a 100% occupancy rate. The tours remained one of the highlights of the “Summer in the City” programme.
The LCTO also organised 4,892 guided tours during 2025. The “City Promenade” and private guided tours proved particularly popular, while themed tours such as “Gloomy Past of the Fortress”, “Be(e)-Loved Luxembourg” and “Luxembourg Urban Garden Tours” also attracted strong attendance.
The tourist information office on Knuedler welcomed 180,806 visitors during the year. The main countries of origin were Germany (43,977 visitors), France (24,559), the Netherlands (21,523) and Luxembourg (14,804).
The LCTO also highlighted growth in digital activity. The website luxembourg-city.com recorded 1,315,555 visitors and 3,801,221 page views in 2025. Strong increases were also reported across social media platforms, including Facebook (+41.30%), Instagram (+38.96%), TikTok (+8.41%) and LinkedIn (+73.07%).
During 2025, the LCTO also launched the “Luxembourg Welcomers” service, providing personalised assistance and visitor information at hotels, conferences and arrival points across the capital.
