On Monday 8 June 2015, the University of Luxembourg is holding a public lecture on "European Union-Turkey relations: past and present".

In the context of the lecture series entitled "The European Union as a Global International Actor" and organised by the Research Unit in Law from the University of Luxembourg, a lecture on the past and present of European Union-Turkey relations will be held on Monday, 8 June at 18:30 on the Limpertsberg campus.

Marc Maresceau, Professor of Law at the University of Ghent and expert in EU external relations, will present the long history of EU-Turkey relations and discuss why very little progress has been made on the road to EU accession so far.

The conference will be held at the University of Luxembourg, in the conference room BSC 001 of Limpertsberg campus, 162a avenue de la Faïencerie, L-1511 Luxembourg, and will be followed by a cocktail.
