On Tuesday 9 June 2026, LUNEX announced the official accreditation of its new Bachelor in Osteopathy, marking another important milestone in the development of its academic portfolio in health and Sport Sciences.
The accreditation confirms that the programme meets recognised quality standards in higher education and reflects LUNEX’s commitment to delivering excellence in healthcare education.
The osteopathy pathway developed at LUNEX is designed to offer a unique combination in Europe in terms of legislative framework and academic education level, positioning the programme among the most advanced osteopathic education models in the region.
This new practice-oriented programme will equip students with the essential scientific, clinical and professional skills required to pursue a future career in osteopathy.
The first intake is scheduled for October 2026 at the LUNEX campus in Differdange. To give prospective students and their families the opportunity to discover the programme, meet the academic team, and explore the campus facilities, LUNEX will host a dedicated Open Day for the Bachelor in Osteopathy on 25 June 2026 from 15:00 to 18:00.
The Bachelor in Osteopathy represents the essential first step toward becoming a qualified healthcare professional in the field of osteopathy.
Students will develop competencies in structural, visceral, and craniosacral osteopathy while learning to integrate clinical reasoning for elementary differential diagnosis and patient assessment. Emphasis is placed on patient safety, enabling students to identify relative and absolute contraindications to osteopathic treatment and provide responsible, professional care.
In addition to clinical expertise, the programme fosters the development of communication skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical conduct, cultural sensitivity and preventive health promotion — all essential competencies for future healthcare professionals.
Programme Structure
The three-year Bachelor in Osteopathy progressively develops students’ scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning and practical competencies.
During the first year, students build strong foundations in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and core osteopathic principles while developing essential academic, communication and professional skills.
The second year deepens osteopathic knowledge through advanced musculoskeletal studies, neurosciences, visceral and craniosacral osteopathy, while strengthening diagnostic and treatment skills.
In the third year, students focus on clinical application and professional integration through internships, advanced osteopathic techniques and evidence-based practice projects.
The programme follows WHO Benchmarks and CEN standards for Training in Osteopathy, ensuring a high-quality education aligned with international standards and preparing graduates for future professional practice and postgraduate studies.
Following the Bachelor’s degree, students will have the opportunity to continue their academic journey through LUNEX’s future Master in Osteopathy programme, currently under development, which will represent the final step toward becoming a practising osteopath in Luxembourg.
Prospective students interested in learning more about the programme, admission requirements, and career opportunities are invited to attend the Open Day on 25 June 2026 from 15:00 to 18:00.
