Following the recent completion of the refurbishment works to the old passenger terminal at Lux-Airport, and the linking of it to the new Terminal A building via a 200m walkway with travelators, Terminal B received its first passenger flight today, Thursday 29 June 2017.

This morning, a Luxair Bombardier Q400 from Copenhagen landed at Lux-Airport and parked at Terminal B, allowing its passengers to disembark and walk the few metres to the terminal building and take the stairs/escalator up to the first floor and then through to Terminal B and the baggage carousels and arrivals lounge.

Johan Vanneste, CEO at Lux-Airport, confirmed to The Luxembourg Chronicle that today's initial test went smoothly and that the airport plans to use Terminal B for 5 flights from next Monday, 3 July 2017. If all goes well, the airport will continue adding flights during next week until Terminal B reaches full capacity.

Terminal B has a total of 9 gates and will be used by smaller (regional) planes, including those from Luxair, Lufthansa, LOT, HOP!, Volotea, KLM and possibly others.
