On Tuesday 2 June 2026, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced changes to the Luxembourg women's national team squad ahead of the upcoming UEFA Women's European Qualifiers 2027 double-header against Belgium.
According to the FLF, Emma Goetz (FK Austria Wien, Austria), Carolina Barbosa de Sousa (FC Kehlen) and Leticia Mateus (Jeunesse Junglinster) have withdrawn from the Red Lionesses (Rout Léiwinnen) squad selected for the two matches.
To complete the squad, Luana Carvalho of ENT AS Red Black/Steinsel has been called up and will join the Luxembourg women's national team for the June international window.
The team coached by Cristina Correia and Daniel Zirbes will first travel to Leuven to face Belgium at Den Dreef Stadium on Friday 5 June 2026. Luxembourg will then host Belgium at the Stade de la Frontière in Esch-sur-Alzette on Tuesday 9 June 2026.
Luxembourg currently sits bottom of UEFA Women's European Qualifiers Group B4 without a point after four matches. Belgium and Scotland jointly lead the group on eight points, with Scotland ahead on goal difference.
