On Wednesday 13 November 2024, Burger King unveiled its new “Whopper” burger in Luxembourg.

Burger King describes the new “Whopper” as an improved version of the burger that first appeared in 1957, retaining its 100% flame-grilled beef steak with fresh ingredients that are cut and prepared on site, without artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. Burger King has focused on three key improvements to enhance the “Whopper”: the serving temperature, the burger bun and the steak.

According to Burger King, new methods ar now used to ensure the “Whopper” is served at an ideal temperature. The new bun is described as airier and softer with icing, and new seasoning is used with the steak.

The brand's research has shown that more than half of fast-food consumers come specifically for the “Whopper” with 900 sold every minute worldwide.

Kevin Derycke, CEO of Burger Brands Luxembourg, said: "True to our ‘Have it your way’ philosophy, we continue to meet our customers' expectations by constantly improving our recipes. The Whopper has never been so good, and we are very happy to be able to share it with our customers."

The new burger, which includes a plant-based option, is now available in Burger King restaurants in Luxembourg and Belgium.
