On Friday 23 May 2025, the College of the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg) inaugurated three new pop-up stores located in the city centre and Gare district.

“Maison Album”, located at 25 Rue des Capucins until mid-March 2026, is a boutique offering a curated mix of second-hand clothing, leather goods, tableware, decorative objects and jewellery. Maison Album also organises a variety of workshops and training sessions, in styling, posture and communication.

"K-Shop”, located at 64 Avenue de la Liberté until mid-January 2026, is a boutique concept dedicated to Korean culture. K-Shop has set itself the mission of introducing the Luxembourg public to the fascinating world of K-culture. They offer a selection of authentic South Korean products, including cosmetics and skincare, confectionery and snacks, various fashion and lifestyle items and K-pop merchandise.

“Superette”, located at 3 Rue Origer until the end of March 2026, is a grocery store which brings together innovative brands in sustainable food, beverages, cosmetics and products for the home, children and pets. Superette’s aims are to revitalise the responsible consumption market and inspire people to shop again.

The "pop-up stores" project

By ensuring short-term rental of commercial spaces, the City of Luxembourg offers the possibility to designers, entrepreneurs and startups to test their product, service or concept in direct contact with their customers. Thus, the concept of "pop-up stores" serves as a springboard for tenants who can consolidate their professional experience before launching definitively into business. Furthermore, pop-up stores are said to contribute to the creation of a rich commercial offer and to attracting a diverse public to the city centre.
