The 48th edition of the "Festival des Grands Vins de France" by Cactus is taking place from Monday 14 to Sunday 27 October 2024.

For two weeks, wine enthusiasts will once again have the opportunity to discover a selection of more than 500 wines, including 100 organic products, carefully chosen to represent the best of French viticulture.

This annual event allows visitors to discover new wine estates, meet experts and taste a variety of wines at Cactus supermarkets in Howald, Bascharage and at the Belle Etoile. Classic and new products, including organic wines, are on the programme. Various promotional offers will also run during the festival.

The festival features 39 new wines, mostly from Burgundy, with producers such as Louis Latour, François Feuillet, Rossignol-Février and Maison Le Meurger, recently added to the selection. This year, fans of Rhone Valley wines will also be able to discover Maison Laurent Tardieu, which is making its debut on Cactus supermarket shelves.

For this 2024 edition, Cactus is highlighting the 2022 vintage in Bordeaux, hailed as "one of the most remarkable" in recent history. This vintage is distinguished by its fruity richness and its balance between power and freshness, despite complex climatic conditions.

Older vintages (2015-2021) will be available to satisfy those looking for hidden treasures in the depths of the cellar.

The event will be hosted by owners and wine advisors, who will guide visitors in their quest for the ideal bottle.
