The Marshal of the Court has announced that a mass will be held on Thursday 7 May 2020 to honour the memory of the late Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg one year after his passing.

One year ago today, on 23 April 2019, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Jean passed away at the age of 98. To mark the one-year anniversary of his death, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich will hold a mass in his memory during the Octave pilgrimage on Thursday 7 May at 09:30 at the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Luxembourg City.

The Marshal confirmed that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the mass will take place without the physical presence of the public. Nevertheless, this religious service will be broadcast live on the website www.cathol.lu.
