On Thursday 24 April 2025, the Conscious Business Foundation (CBF), in collaboration with Zentrapreneur.com, announced the launch of its Luxembourg chapter, joining existing chapters in the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Slovenia.

In a press release, CBF stated that the expansion strengthens the movement's mission to promote ethical and purpose-driven leadership across Europe, building on a seventeen-year legacy rooted in the Conscious Capitalism movement in the United States. It added that the Luxembourg Chapter arrived at a critical moment, as the country's financial and technology sectors face growing pressures to demonstrate ethical leadership while maintaining a competitive advantage. According to the 2023 PwC Global CEO Survey, 73% of CEOs worldwide believe that stakeholder engagement strategies directly contribute to financial performance.

Founded in the Netherlands by Hendrik Jan van Es, CBF is reported to support businesses in integrating conscious leadership and sustainable strategies. The Luxembourg chapter, led by serial tech entrepreneur, business innovation advisor and executive coach, Marco Houwen, is expected to foster a community of executives dedicated to aligning business success with societal well-being.

Marco Houwen said: "In today's business world, success is about impact, not just profit. The Conscious Business Chapter Luxembourg will bring together leaders committed not only to making business a force for good but also to creating long-term, sustainable success for all stakeholders”.

Hendrik Jan van Es added: "The launch of the Luxembourg chapter marks an exciting step in expanding the Conscious Business movement. Marco's vision, along with zentrapreneur.com's expertise in conscious leadership and company culture transformation, will help drive sustainable growth in the region”.

CBF added that through workshops, events and collaborative projects, the chapter will foster dialogue and action around the five pillars of the Conscious Business Model: Higher Purpose, Conscious leadership, Culture & Organisation, Business Models and Stakeholders.

CBF stated that it offers a unique membership for individuals and organisations ready to deepen their understanding and implementation of conscious business practices. Members gain access to a European-wide network of purpose-driven leaders, co-learning sessions, tools for transformation and opportunities to contribute to the evolution of business as a force for good.

The Luxembourg Chapter is calling on “bold, visionary regional leaders” to be part of the emerging paradigm of conscious business - those who are “interested to know more about the shift toward purpose, values and conscious leadership, as well as those who are ready to share their transformational journey to inspire others”.
