Early on Saturday evening, St George's International School in Luxembourg performed its 2015 Winter Concert at the Christmas Market at the Place d'Armes in Luxembourg city centre.
Despite a slight delay due to sound checks, the concert quickly got going with a fabulous rendition of O Tannenbaum - made famous by Nat King Cole in the 1950s - by the students from Year4, followed by the children's choir "St George's Singers" who delighted the crowd with many well-known Christmas Carols and songs.
The Christmas market was thronged with revellers, many of whom had come to hear the choirs sing. Next up was the turn of the school's adult choir "Double Entendre" who delighted the audiences with renditions of Jazz Gloria, In the Bleak Midwinter, While Shepherds Watched, Come All Ye Faithful and Deck the Halls, finishing off with a joyful We Wish You a Merry Christmas
For those who missed yesterday's concert and would like to see it, both the "St George's Singers" children's choir and the "Double Entendre" adult choir will participate in a second such concert to be held on Wednesday week, 16 December 2015, at 19:00 at the Hamm Parish Church (Rue des Peupliers, Luxembourg-Hamm), with carols for the audience to join in with.
