Snow Owl, Yuri Buenaventura and Steve Gadd Band will be performing for this year's Spring Musical Festival at Neumünster Abbey and Den Atelier across the month of April.
On Wednesday 5 April, Juan García-Herreros, also known by his stage name "Snow Owl", brings his virtuoso jazzy-latino vibe with his “The Blue Road” tour. García-Herreros is an internationally renowned musician and one of the 10 best electric bass players in the world according to the Bass Musician Magazine. He is the first electric bass player to receive a Grammy Award, which he received for his 2014 album, “Normas", and has since picked up gold medals at the 2016 Global Music Awards for “The Blue Road”.
At Den Atelier on 19 April, Colombian Yuri Buenaventura adapts iconic French songs by Brel, Aznavour, Brassens, Ferré, Nougaro, Moustaki and others to his salsa sensibilities with “Paroles" 2017, his sixth studio album which seeks to unite the two cultures in musical bond.
On 21 April the Steve Gadd Band bring their Welcome Back Home tour to Den Atelier, closing out the festival. Reputed to be one of the most respected musicians in the world, who has played alongside the likes of Eric Clapton, Joe Cocker and James Taylor, Steve Gadd’s performances are renowned for the electrifying energy he brings to the stage.
