Today and tomorrow, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August 2016, the 4th meeting of the German-speaking health ministers will be taking place in Luxembourg.
Luxembourg’s Minister of Health, Lydia Mutsch, has invited the Austrian Minister for Health and Women, Dr. Sabine Oberhauser, Germany's Federal Minister of Health, Hermann Gröhe, the Swiss Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Home Affairs, Dr. Alain Berset, and Liechtenstein’s senior civil servant and Minister of Health, Dr. Mauro Pedrazzini, to the Grand Duchy for this meeting.
The annual meeting of the German-speaking health ministers has proven successful as a political framework for the regular exchange of experience and knowledge to the stepping up of cross-border co-operation in the health sector.
Over the course of several meetings, the health ministers will discuss ways to fight and prevent addictive behaviour, as well as solutions for the secure exchange of health data (eHealth) and on the development of public health literacy.
