On Saturday, a motorcyclist lost his life following an accident in Schengen.
The motorcyclist, a 74 year-old resident of France, had been travelling on the N10 in the early afternoon with a group. Shortly after passing the roundabout in Schengen he lost control of his motorcycle which crashed into a street sign before hitting a roadside tree.
The emergency services arrived and declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the scene of the accident.
The road was closed for around two hours before being re-opened to traffic.
