The Ville de Luxembourg and the Administration des Ponts et Chaussées have announced that road traffic will be significantly disrupted this week-end in the Rollingergrund as the surface of the road is being replaced.

The stretch of road concerned it that between the avenue de la Faïencerie and the rue Albert Unden. Work is scheduled to commence at 06:00 this Saturday 22 July, until Sunday at 22:00; however, the work is to be achieved in two main sections.

Firstly, on Saturday from 06:00 until sunday at 05:00, while the existing surface is being removed, through-traffic will not be allowed, but accesss will be provided to garages of residents.

Secondly, on Sunday between 05:00 and 22:00, during the laying of the new surface and the painting of road markings, no road traffic access will be permitted at all. However, adjacent roads will enable access towards and from the Rollingergrund, but not along it, including the rue de Reckenthal, la montée des Tilleuls, la rue de Kopstal, la rue des Sept-Fontaines, la rue de Bridel (CR 215a), l’ancienne rue du Bridel, la rue des Réservoirs, la rue Albert Unden et l’avenue Pasteur (Traufelsbierg). In addition, the rue des Sept-Fontaines will remain accessible from close to the entrance/exit of the restaurant Sieweburen towards the rue de Kopstal.

Public transport (buses) will be re-routed during this work and diversions for private transport will be in operation.
