An additional stage in the work being performed on the Grouft tunnel will see the North A7 motorway between the Waldhof and Schoenfels junctions closed to traffic this weekend.
The reception of electromechanical equipment, tests and maintenance of concrete elements in the Grouft tunnel has necessitated the section of the A7 motorway between the Waldhof junction (N°1) and Schoenfels junction (N°3) being sealed from 20:00 on Friday 11 to 06:00 on Monday 14 December 2015.
This section will be closed off in direction Friedhof from the Waldhof (N°1) to the Lorentzweiler (N°2) junctions; and in the 'Jonction Grünewald' direction from the Schoenfels (N°3) to the Waldhof (N°1) junctions.
Traffic will be diverted from the Waldhof junction to Route d'Echternach N11 and to route du Nord N7 until the Lorentzweiler junction in one direction and from the Schoenfels junction to the CR102, route du nord N7 via the centre of Mersch until the Luxembourg exit and on route d'Echternach until the Waldhof junction.
