On Wednesday 25 November 2015, Luxtram S.A., the Commercial Union of the City of Luxembourg (UCVL) and the Luxembourg Confederation of Commerce (CLC) signed a cooperation agreement concerning the exchange of information between the three.

The agreement was signed in the presence of François Bausch, Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure; Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg; and Sam Tanson, First Deputy Mayor of the City of Luxembourg. The agreement forms the basis for establishing an important information exchange device between the signatories.

Before and during the work phase on the new tram network, each party is able to monitor the project and access the information needed on a daily basis. This convention may change over time in order to accommodate other representatives of the business sector of Luxembourg City and municipalities implicated in the tramway construction.

On Friday 27 November 2015, Luxtram will be holding a conference with representatives of the traders' association of the Spanish city of Zaragoza, with the support of the Ministry of Sustainable Development and the City of Luxembourg. This will provide an opportunity to exchange best practice and experiences from the work involved in the tramway which was established in the Spanish city in 2011.

The first stone of the new Tramsschapp was laid by representatives of the Ministry and of the City of Luxembourg in September earlier this year.
